Newington Public Schools recognizes the increasing prevalence of potentially life-threatening food allergies among children.  Effective management of food allergies in the cafeteria includes implementing strategies for avoidance of offending foods by allergic children. It is the intention of the Foods & Nutrition Services Department to provide assistance and information to parents in order to help them to make an informed decision on whether or not to allow their child to purchase items in the cafeteria. Below are lists of ingredients and nutritional information for products served in the cafeterias. Carbohydrate, fat, saturated fat and allergen menus can be found on the School Menus page.

Note: The Foods & Nutrition Services Department cannot guarantee that the information provided is 100% accurate and current. We will do our best to update our list and ensure the content is accurate to the best of our knowledge. Manufacturers may reformulate products during the school year, nutritional information posted on our website may vary slightly from the actual product label, substitutions from our vendors may occur and recipes may get revised. Although products may contain NO NUTS, manufacturers are NOT required to put on the label “May contain nuts” or “Not made in a nut-free facility”. Ingredients and menu items are subject to change or may be substituted without notice.
