Marco Honored at CAS Reception!

This past Wednesday evening at St. Clement's Castle in Portland two of our outstanding NPS administrators who received top honors from the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) were honored!

A massive congratulations to Marco who was celebrated by CAS for his award as the Connecticut Middle School Assistant Principal of the Year!

I also want to give a major shout-out to Terra Tigno, Principal of Newington High School (NHS), who was honored at the same event as the Connecticut High School Principal of the Year!

Marco and Terra were recognized alongside the state's other top principals and assistant principals at a reception held at St. Clements Castle in Portland. Having two NPS administrators among only six award winners recognized across the entire state is an extraordinary achievement and speaks volumes about the quality of leadership within our district! It was truly a great night for JWMS, NHS, and the entire Newington Public Schools community!

Congratulations again to Marco and Terra on this incredible, well-deserved recognition!

🏈 Faculty Team Wins Flag Football Championship!

A huge congratulations to our Faculty Flag Football team who defeated the student champions, the Patriots, in a thrilling season finale! The game was a nail-biter, with the faculty team holding on to win by a narrow two-point margin. Bragging rights go to the staff!

A massive thank you to Daija Fitzpatrick for organizing and running our incredibly successful inaugural JWMS Flag Football Intramural League! We also appreciate the JWMS PAC for funding the necessary equipment.
