Anna Reynolds Friday Message

Posted Date: 10/31/25 (05:00 PM)

Dear Anna Reynolds Families,

Please see this week’s updates/reminders below:

  • School of Distinction -Anna Reynolds was recently named a School of Distinction by the state of Connecticut (NextGen Accountability Index) in the areas of:

  • High Growth (All Students) - ELA

  • High Growth (All Students) - Math

  • High Growth (High Needs Students) - ELA

  • High Growth (High Needs Students) - Math

We have been named a School of Distinction for growth in at least one area every year since 2017-18.  However, this is the first year being named for growth in four out of four categories! And the first time in the area of ELA since 2018-19.

  • Food and Snacks - We recognize that many of our students and families may need support with food and snacks beginning on November 1.  If you are without food or having challenges with snacks, please contact Mrs. Masulli, our Social Worker, or the main office and a staff member will follow up with you to support you with accessing local resources.  If families are interested in donating student snacks to school, please send in Pepperidge Farms Cheddar Goldfish boxes.   In addition, Connecticut Foodshare’s Mobile Pantry provides food at more than 100 locations in a no questions asked, outdoor “farmers market” setting. Items offered typically include fresh produce and other perishable foods. Review these frequently asked questions to learn more. For dates and times of Mobile Pantry locations near you, text FOODSHARE to 85511 and follow the prompts.

  • Chromebook Chargers - Materials have arrived for classes to begin storing chromebooks in school.  Students will keep their device in their classroom and may bring it home as needed to work on assignments.  Please have your child bring their charger back to school.  All chargers will be labeled and should return to school by Friday, November 14th.

  • School Calendar - There is no school on Tuesday, November 4th.

  • NHS Event - The NHS Career Academies is presenting a K-POP Demon Hunters movie night on Friday, December 12th.  For more information, please see the flier
